The Woody is the the original and is for beginners who want to try the sport out and see if it is for them. With a polyester fiberglass shell it will hold its shape far longer and resist cracking and warping for generations. Cheaper pop out wood skims do not usually have the fiberglass shell and will warp and break down far faster which makes the Woody a great investment.
